Hurricane Florence 2018
Earlier this week Hurricane Florence made landfall on the coast of North Carolina bringing with her; high winds, and record rainfall.
As of nightfall on 9/17 there are still 389,889 people without power and as of noon on 9/17 over 2600 successful rescues have been completed. SouthEastern North Carolina has been declared a disaster area.
Emergency Management crews have been working around the clock to assist those affected by this terrible storm. The North Carolina Department of Public Safety Emergency Management tweeted earlier today, "The NC State Emergency Response Team provided 23 truckloads of MREs and bottled water to Wilmington overnight," and mentioned that there was still more to come.
