April 2019 Newsletter

The last few weeks have been super exciting for the Republican Party. First here in Cabarrus County we had a great showing of new and old faces attending the 2019 republican County Convention where a new slate of officers and Executive Committee members were elected. Then over this past weekend the Mueller Report was released finding that there was no collusion with President Trump or anyone he or the campaign associated with!

We would like to Congratulate the new Officers and Executive Committee.....

Have You Ever Considered Becoming an Election Precinct Official? Cabarrus County Republican Party will have Cabarrus County Board of Elections Officials give you up-to-date information on the important role of precinct officials that insures fair elections are held!

Presenters, who currently coordinate precinct officials will give details on what is required, what it pays, time commitments, much more, and will have registration forms for those who are interested! Presenters include: Alisha Harris, Precinct Official Coordinator; Wendy Suggs, Election Technician; and Susan Grosse, Deputy Director of the Cabarrus Board of Elections.

We look forward to welcoming all Cabarrus County Republicans! Come out and learn how you can positively facilitate the election process!

UPCOMING CONVENTIONS

District Convention
Saturday April 13th at 2PM

Those that attended the County Convention are eligible to attend the 8th District Convention. Hear from leaders of the 8th district, Congressman Hudson, and others. Leaders for the 8th district will be elected as well.

State Convention
June 6-June 9
Embassy Suites Hotel Concord

Everyone who attended the County Convention is eligible to attend the State Convention. It will be right here in Cabarrus County and we are looking forward to a big showing from the local delegation. As time gets closer, we will be reaching out for volunteers to help with various aspects of the convention.

CLUB MEETINGS

Cabarrus County Republic Men’s Club
Saturday April 27th at 8:30am
Golden Corral

All are welcome to attend the Cabarrus County Republican Men’s Club meeting. Breakfast at 830AM or thereabouts and the presentation and meeting beginning at 900AM. This month’s scheduled presenter will be Brian King with the Concord City Council.

COMMITTEES

After the first executive committee meeting on April 2nd, we will begin re-staffing the various committees. If you were serving on a commit and wish to still serve on that committee please drop Anita an email to express your interest in doing so. She will be responsible for committee staffing.
