Any voter in line at their assigned polling place at 7:30 p.m. can vote. The busiest times are early morning and just after work before the polls close. Avoid longer lines by voting at off-peak times.
Citizens must be registered by Friday, October 10, 2025 at 5pm, to vote in person on Election Day. Same-day voter registration is unavailable on Election Day, so unregistered voters may only vote by casting a provisional ballot with the precinct staff.
Note that when you inserted your ballot into a tabulator, your selections were recorded on a media card in the tabulator. These results will be counted and reported publicly on election night. For further confirmation that your ballot was counted, use the Voter Search. Your ballot status will show up in your “Voter History” section as soon as your county completes the post-election process of assigning voter history to your record. This may take up to a few weeks after Election Day. If you have questions, please contact the Cabarrus County Board of Elections.
