Cabarrus Republicans,
We hope that you have had a wonderful Christmas and are looking forward to what 2021 will bring to us. President Trump has defied the odds and the pundits that said that there was no way we could have a vaccine before Christmas. Low and behold, vaccines have been going out and being distributed for the last 2 weeks. Just maybe a rabbit will get pulled out of a hat and he will remain our President past January.
In the meantime, the party is getting ready for our County Convention that we have tentatively scheduled for March 20th. Unfortunately, with the unknown of the Governor’s restrictions and where we will be in March, we do not have much to report and making plans is very difficult. We are making plans for both a virtual convention as well as an in-person convention simultaneously and will have to make the call for one method or another as we get closer. This will be the year we will be holding elections for all officers and executive committee seats so please plan to attend with whichever convention platform we will be able to use.

General Meeting
Canceled
We are very much aware we are sounding like a broken record at this point. There is no way for us to hold in-person meetings and so once again we are going to cancel the January Membership meeting. We are still looking for an option to do a winter celebration event in some capacity; however, this may not be able to occur until later January or February in light of the surging Covid cases.
2021 County Convention
Tentative Date March 20th
We are working to secure a location to hold the 2021 Cabarrus County Republican Convention and Precinct Meetings. This will be an election year for Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, and at-large members. We are tentatively looking at the date of March 20th; however, due to scheduling this date may have to shift a bit one way or the other. We plan to do everything possible to hold this convention in person and we are looking at all of our options at this time.
Regardless of whether the meeting is virtual or in-person, we need Cabarrus County Republicans to participate and make the important decisions about the party leadership for the next 2 year cycle. Please stay in touch and keep informed re this important meeting.
If your voter registration is not current, you have until January 31st to update it if you want to participate in the County Convention.

Online Donations
The Cabarrus County Republican Party is still accepting on-line donations. Even though the 2020 election cycle is finished, we have started the process to raise money for the 2021 municipal and 2022 election cycle to once again bring home a strong victory for the Republicans here in Cabarrus County.
