July 2020 Newsletter

Atrium Health Ballpark, Kannapolis

Cabarrus Republicans, we hope and pray that you and your families are well. We wrote last month to say that we thought we were about done with virtual meetings; however, the Governor has made us eat those words. Due to his extending the executive order, we are moving the executive committee meeting to virtual and canceling the general membership meeting for July. See below for the details.

For most people, this Fourth of July holiday celebration will be the first time they were not able to fully celebrate with the freedom and enthusiasm that they would like, that is unless you cross any of the state lines around us and celebrate there! Make sure your friends know the lack of fireworks, parades, and celebrations sits squarely on the shoulders of Gov. Cooper and remind them, this is why we must elect Dan Forest in November.

Speaking of November, many of the council of state races could use our financial support. Their individual websites may be found from this link; nc.gop/candidates. Many of these candidates do not have nearly the fundraising ground game that the other candidates have and are very appreciative of every donation.

General Meeting

Due to the extended Executive Order, this meeting has been canceled. We hope to resume regular meetings in August

State Convention
July 10th - 11th

We are very disappointed to announce that, due to the Governor’s extension of his Phase 2 lockdown, the state GOP has canceled the in-person portion of our Convention.  In order to meet the deadline to elect Delegates and Alternates to the RNC Convention, as well as hold leadership elections and conduct other party business, the Convention will be a virtual event.  The state party will be communicating with the Delegates to the State Convention about the process for participating.

More information may be found here:
NCGOP 2020 State Convention

Online Donations
The Cabarrus County Republican Party is now ready to accept your donations online. The party will need to raise lots of money over the next few months to help our great candidates and to keep Cabarrus RED! Click on the big red button above or go to cabarrus.nc.gop/donate to get started.

We welcome registered Republicans to help with Events, Programs, and Precinct Development Committees as well as CCGOP office staffing. We will need a number of campaign volunteers to man the office and actively campaign for candidates. Please let us hear from you regarding your availability to volunteer! Training related to campaign activities will be available. Keep checking for more information as NC reopens!

Let us know how and when you would be available to help! We are going to need “all hands on deck” as the election season proceeds!
