July 2022 Newsletter

2022 Peggy Haywood Scholarship winner Gabby Mullis with Tom Daoust and Congressman Dan Bishop @ 2022 Celebrate America Rally & Cookout

Fellow Cabarrus County Republicans,

First off let me wish you all a happy Independence Day. Secondly, I want to thank each and every volunteer that made our 2nd Annual Celebrate America Rally a huge success. Congressman Dan Bishop did an amazing job of keeping us informed about what he is fighting for in Washington and we were able to hear both essays from the 2022 Peggy Haywood Scholarship winners. Our party should and must continue to invest in the young conservatives that are the future of this party, state and nation.

I also want to inform you that I spent three days in Pentagon City at the RNC County Chairman Training sponsored by RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel. Not only did I learn from the presenters but had the opportunity to network and learn from county chairs across the country. Let me tell you, the Cabarrus County Republican Party is leading the way on many fronts. The diversity of our executive committee, our social media and communications as well as the quality of our events has folks from Idaho to Pennsylvania wanting to emulate what we are doing here! Again, a thank you to the executive committee and the hardworking volunteers that make it all happen.

Lastly, I want to directly address a very important issue. We as Republicans must end the circular firing squad. We have a platform that in my opinion reflects what most Americans believe whether they are registered republicans or not. We believe that all men are created equal, that equal opportunity for all is a hallmark of the greatness of our nation and that every individual has the capacity to succeed. We believe that we should keep our hard-earned dollars and the power of the federal government should be limited as enumerated in the constitution. We believe that parents should be the ultimate decision maker about the education of their children. I for one will continue to work as hard as I can to convey these beliefs to the voters of Cabarrus County. If you share these beliefs and agree with our platform, we want you to be a part of this great work of getting Republicans elected in this county at every level of government. The Democrats know that we win on policy, we win on our values and that we can only lose if we are divided. I will continue to have an open-door policy for those that have questions or concerns and I look forward to working with and for you all on this journey to victory in November for our Republican candidates.

Yours in service,

Addul Ali - Chairman

Announcement of School Board Candidate Endorsements

After a thorough, months-long, multi-stage process, your Cabarrus County Republican Party Executive Committee conducted final candidate interviews and voted to endorse three candidates for the Cabarrus County Board of Education. The following three candidates have the official endorsement of the Cabarrus County Republican Party: Laura Blackwell, Greg Mills and Catherine Bonds-Moore. The Party would like to extend a thank you to ALL of the Republican candidates who have entered their names into the School Board race. The decision of who to endorse was the hardest decision the board has made in this term so far. It is never an easy decision to choose between so many good republicans. However, picking three republicans to endorse, and for the party to unite behind, is the best way to ensure that our school board stays under republican control. Two democrats and one unaffiliated candidate have chosen to file for the board, meaning that the left will be completely unified in their attempt to take over our school board, something we cannot allow to happen. We are looking forward to working with Catherine, Greg, and Laura to ensure wins in November!
