June 2020 Newsletter

Cabarrus Republicans, we hope and pray that you and your families are well. For those that are unhappy with virtual meetings; hopefully this phase of our life will be coming to an end soon. For those that appreciate the virtual format; maybe, we as a society will learn from these times and help facilitate more communication options for those unable to participate in face-to-face.

Please join us in congratulating Jay White on his appointment to the Cabarrus County Board of Elections. He was sworn in on May 18th to complete the remaining term of Missy De Souza.

With Mr. White now on the Board of Elections, he had to resign his spot on the Executive Committee leaving an empty seat. Applications can be found on our website for anyone interested in filling out the rest of the term. We have not set an application deadline at this time; however, applications may be found here.

General Meeting
Cancelled

This meeting has been rescheduled to July. We wish to have a special meeting with the recipients of the Pegge Haywood Scholarships and do not want to do this via a virtual format. Please stay tuned to our social channels or your email for an announcement as soon as we have a confirmed date and location. We appreciate every one's patience during these unusual times and we anticipate resuming in person meetings starting in July.

Volunteer for RNC 2020
The National Convention will need some 8000 volunteers to make the event successful. Would you like to volunteer? Go to www.charlottein2020.com and click on "Volunteer."

Committees
Committee chairs and committees have been established. If you wish to still serve on a committee please drop Anita an email to express your interest in doing so. We welcome registered Republicans to help with Events, Programs, and Precinct Development Committees as well as CCGOP office staffing. We will need a number of campaign volunteers to man the GOP office and actively campaign for candidates. Please let us hear from you re your availability to volunteer! Training will be available re campaign activities. Keep checking for more information as NC reopens!
