Message from the Chairman:
First, I’d like to congratulate 8th District Chairman Kelsey Brown on his re-election. I would also like to thank Lee County GOP Chairman Jim Womack, for hosting the Convention at Lee County GOP Headquarters. The Cabarrus County Republican Party will be well represented on the 8th District and State Executive Committees with the election of Jennifer Dunbar, Erika Diaz, Jessica Hughes, Tammy Pittman and Dana Coulter. I would also like to give a special congratulations to the Treasurer of the Cabarrus Republican Women, Jennifer Dunbar, on being appointed as Finance Chair and to Nathan Stone for his re-election as Secretary for the 8th Congressional District. I am also very thankful to the 19 Cabarrus County Republicans who attended the meeting in Sanford. It was an especially lovely Saturday and enthusiasm of the over 100 attendees was palpable!
In other news, we are working hard to position ourselves for a great 2022 election cycle. I’ve had the opportunity to meet with each of your committees and look forward to a successful term. Over the next 90 days we will begin to introduce new marketing materials and launch our new “The GOP Looks Like Me” campaign to help reach more voters in the county. Stay tuned to our social media channels for more information on this campaign! We have set a goal of $15,000 to launch this campaign, and we won’t be able to reach that alone. I would ask that you consider making a donation of any size to the Cabarrus County GOP today, to help ensure the success of our party. I look forward to seeing you all at a CABGOP event very soon!
Lastly, our NCGOP State Convention is fast approaching and we would love to have Cabarrus County well represented. The Convention is June 3-6 in Greenville NC. More information is available at convention.nc.gop
