Cabarrus County Republicans will be volunteering to help place veterans' wreaths on the headstones of American Heroes as part of National Wreaths Across America Day at Oakwood Cemetery. This year, National Wreaths Across America Day will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024. Join the more than two million volunteers and supporters who will gather to Remember, Honor and Teach at more than 4,600 participating locations in all 50 states, at sea and abroad. We will meet at noon to participate in a short service followed by the laying of wreaths. When a volunteer places a wreath on a veteran's grave on National Wreaths Across America Day, we encourage them to speak that veteran's name aloud, thank them for their service and sacrifice, and reflect on that person and their life.
Oakwood Cemetery is able to accommodate all that show up.
